We are so proud of all of our athletes and the commitment to their goals and their health every day at Foxcroft and Razorback CrossFit. By displaying determination and hard work, our athletes are becoming healthier, stronger, quicker, and improving their overall fitness. This incredible group of athletes in our growing community is devoted to helping each other and themselves become better every day. As coaches, we feel extremely privileged to have the opportunity to work with so many like-minded, hardworking athletes to achieve their goals.
For our July installment of our Member Spotlight, we introduce Evan Nelson.
Evan started CrossFit at the beginning of the summer because he felt like he got out of shape during his Freshman year of college.
Do you remember what your first CrossFit workout was?
"It was sit-ups superset with jump roping. I thought it was really tough and my abs were really sore."
What do you like most about CrossFit?
"I like the camaraderie of having coaches and fellow CrossFitters around me that push me to be my best."
What is your favorite exercise or workout?
"I like sprints because I’m really competitive and always try winning."
What changes have you noticed since you’ve started CrossFit?
"I’ve definitely gotten in better shape."
What goals have you accomplished and what are your next goals you are working towards?
"I’ve gotten in better shape and I just want to built on that and continue trying to be the best version of myself."
How has CrossFit helped you in your everyday life?
"CrossFit is a great way to start the day and it keeps me feeling energized throughout the day."
What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit, or someone who is thinking about joining?
"Don’t be intimidated by CrossFit and the negative things you hear about it. Razorback CrossFit is an amazing box that knows how to push you to get a great workout, but not over push you to the point of injury. The coaches are great at teaching proper form, and are always open to helping you modify your workout to fit your skill level."
